Innovative cultural heritage practices across European cities and regions

Mar 14, 2023

Cultural Heritage in Action has now come to an end!

The EU-funded peer-learning project for cities and regions on cultural heritage, financed by Creative Europe, brought together hundreds of local policy makers. The project was carried out by Eurocities, in partnership with KEA, ERRIN, Europa Nostra and the Architects Council of Europe and focused on empowering cities and regions to strengthen their cultural heritage policies and initiatives.

Project activities focused on 6 topics: Participatory governance of cultural heritage;  Adaptive reuse of heritage buildings; Quality of interventions on cultural heritage; Recovery and resilience through cultural heritage in a post pandemic world; Cultural heritage for local sustainable development; And governance and financing: new roles for local and regional authorities.
